Job Description: Title Clerk We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Automotive Title Clerk to join our growing team at Riley Ford an Automotive Title Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing vehicle titles, registration, and related documentation. You will work closely with the sales, finance, and compliance teams to ensure all vehicle transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vehicle title and registration paperwork for new and used vehicle sales
  • Ensure all vehicle title documents are complete and accurate
  • Handle title transfers, lien releases, and other paperwork associated with vehicle ownership changes
  • Prepare and submit documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or other regulatory agencies
  • Verify the accuracy of title and registration information and resolve any discrepancies
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and audits related to vehicle titles and registrations
  • Maintain a well-organized filing system for vehicle titles and related documents
  • Stay up-to-date with state and federal regulations regarding vehicle title and registration
  • Assist customers with title-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with other departments, including finance and sales, to ensure timely and accurate documentation
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree in business or related field is a plus)
  • Previous experience in automotive title processing, DMV paperwork, or related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex paperwork
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of state and federal title and registration regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and other office software
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
