Engineering Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $113,000 - $162,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Provide expert technical guidance and problem-solving support for complex production challenges and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and R&D departments to ensure seamless product development, launch, and operational excellence.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with overall manufacturing goals and business objectives.
• Manage departmental budget, resources, and capital expenditure for engineering projects and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Extensive technical background in manufacturing engineering, including process optimization, equipment design, and automation within a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams, with a focus on project delivery and performance management.
• Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and their application to drive efficiency and quality in manufacturing.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical and operational challenges, contributing to strategic technical roadmaps and innovation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MES systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with manufacturing automation, robotics, or Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
