Position Overview
As a Communications Assistant, you’ll help connect nonprofit campaigns with the communities they serve. From coordinating outreach events to crafting compelling public messaging, you’ll support communications strategies that drive real social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in executing PR and communications plans for nonprofit campaigns
Organize and support live events, pop-ups, and community activations
Create and distribute branded outreach materials and event merchandise
Deliver clear, engaging messages to promote charitable initiatives
Track and report engagement metrics, foot traffic, and campaign performance
Collaborate with venues, volunteers, and partners to ensure event success
Support social media and community relations efforts to boost visibility
Identify new outreach opportunities and contribute creative ideas
What We’re Looking For
Interest in nonprofits, PR, marketing, or communications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Team-oriented with problem-solving skills
Enthusiasm for engaging diverse communities face-to-face
Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
No prior experience required — paid training provided
