About Us: VitaTek/Vita Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team in Lake Elmo, MN.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, process transactions, and ensure accuracy in our accounting systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly
• Record daily financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Process payroll using Rippling in accordance with company policies
• Generate financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Manage on-demand invoicing and collections activities
• Proactively follow up on outstanding receivables and maintain positive client relationships
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents
• Process expense reports and reimbursements
• Communicate effectively with vendors and clients regarding billing and payment issues
• Assist with budget preparation and tracking
• Support annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
• Respond promptly to financial inquiries and requests from management
• Provide operational support as needed for various business functions
• Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as they arise

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and urgent requests
• High degree of availability and responsiveness - ability to address time-sensitive matters promptly
• Positive, can-do attitude with willingness to take on diverse tasks and challenges
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in the healthcare or medical industry
• QuickBooks experience (preferred but not required - training available)
• Rippling or similar payroll platform experience
• Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience with collections and accounts receivable management
