Wind Turbine Technician II 

Cheyenne Ridge II, CO – 30 min West of Burlington, CO.

By joining the team at Cheyenne Wells, CO, we are pleased to offer you a sign-on bonus. This bonus reflects our commitment to fostering a collaborative and rewarding relationship. This is a one-time payout of $2,500 and will be subject to applicable taxes and withholdings. The details of the sign-on bonus, including the amount and payment schedule, will be provided with your offer letter. ​

If you have Basic Safety Training, Basic Technical Training and Advanced Rescue Training Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications, we will also offer you an additional $2,500 bonus as a token of your skills and expertise that you bring to Vestas. ​

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• In this position, you’ll use your skills and experience to perform scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines. 
• During a typical day, you will work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather. 
• At this site near Burlington, CO, you will typically have shifts 4 days a week at 10-12 hours a day, with guaranteed overtime opportunities! 
• You will also have an on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours or weekends. 
• The team here normally works in teams of 2-3 and typically will climb 1-2 turbines a day.

 

MORE ABOUT YOU:

• You will need a safety-focused mindset. 
• Your positive attitude will contribute to your ability to work in a team environment, while being motivated and taking initiative in daily tasks.
• You can identify solutions to issues with process of elimination.
• You will bring at least a year of wind experience, a wind certificate with experience in a heavy industrial background.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in electrical or mechanical work.

Target Pay Range: $24 to $30+.
