Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Solutions Architect to lead our Applied and Agentic AI initiatives across Technology Segment customers, including ISV, Enterprise, Sofware & Internet, and Model Providers. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of AI/ML adoption and drive transformational outcomes for our most strategic customers. As a Senior Principal Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of AWS's AI/ML customer strategy, working with AWS technologies including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, and emerging agentic AI frameworks. You will partner with executive leadership, product teams, and field organizations to accelerate customer adoption of generative AI and autonomous agent systems. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for AWS Segments agentic strategy, spanning multiple product families and serving thousands of customers - Lead design and evolution of agent-enabled applications and cross-product integrations internally and externally - Work with product teams to define multi-year technical roadmaps aligning with emerging AI/ML technologies - Provide technical oversight across multiple teams - Influence technical decisions through participation in senior leadership forums - Architect solutions combining AI agents, cloud services, and domain-specific APIs Basic Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 15+ years design/implementation/consulting experience of enterprise applications - Proven track record of leading large-scale technical initiatives across multiple product lines - Strong background in AI/ML systems and their practical applications in software - Excellent communication skills with ability to influence senior leadership and shape product strategy - Track record of mentoring and developing senior technical talent - 5+ years working within or adjacent to Software-as-a-Service companies - Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies - Modern cloud platform skills - Computer Science / relevant degree and/or experience highly desired Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with enterprise software systems or AI-driven automation - Background in natural language processing or conversational AI - Published research or patents in relevant technical areas - Experience with autonomous systems or robotic process automation - Deep understanding of API design and microservices architecture - Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture - Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related field Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $219,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $341,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
