Well established local 3 NYC electrical contractor seeks experienced Electrical Estimators with 7+ years experience for their growing business. Commercial estimating experience is REQUIRED. Projects: airports/interiors/healthcare/stadiums/warehouses
Salary up to $200k including union benefits
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate electrical estimates.
Prepare detailed cost estimates including material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and indirect costs.
Lead the bid process from initial review through final submission.
Review and interpret RFPs, RFIs, and addenda.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
Evaluate and identify value engineering options to reduce project costs without compromising quality.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and the preconstruction team to ensure seamless project handoffs.
Maintain an up-to-date cost database and historical pricing records.
Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as required.
Support contract negotiations by providing detailed cost breakdowns.
Mentor junior estimators and support staff.
Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, McCormick).
