DEPARTMENT: Safety Department

MAJOR FUNCTION: To train employees to be productive in their new positions.

 Function: To train and educate new and existing employees in all pertaining compliance programs.

Principal Responsibilities:

·Train new employees (production and maintenance) and current plant employees at all levels in compliance programs. Thus performing training to an authorized levels.

·Maintenance Safety Training

·LOTO 

·Confined Space

·Hot work Permit

·Electrical Safety

·Industrial Truck Program

·Fall Protection

·Hazard Communication

·Hazmat

·Line Break Permit

·Contractor Program

·PPE

·Respiratory Protection

·Railcar, Tanker, Hopper Safety

·Any other Specialized Training

·Perform Compliance Audits

·Participate at all levels in the emergency response effort

·Work Closely with training department to ensure proper training requirements are met

·Log and tack all compliance training

·Assist with compliance program updates

·Conducts Contractor Orientation

·Evaluates newly hired maintenance employees to ensure they meet the safety qualifications of the position.

·Assist in Special Project as needed by the department

·Work schedule fluctuates depending on training demands

·Job performance is measured by the Safety & Health Manager on such criteria as quality of training and communication ability with employees
