**Satellite Data for Precision Agriculture Internship at Fujitsu Research of America (Santa Clara, CA)** Fujitsu Research of America (FRA) was founded in Silicon Valley to extend the global reach of Fujitsu R&D. We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Digital Climate team at FRA. We are seeking a motivated and curious Intern to join our interdisciplinary team. This internship is focused on applying multispectral satellite data for the precision agriculture use cases. Ideal for students passionate about geospatial data, and its applications in the agriculture domain. **Job responsibilities** + Develop intuitive, responsive web interfaces to visualize satellite-derived datasets (e.g., NDVI, soil moisture, ET). + Collaborate with data scientists and agronomists to turn geospatial insights into actionable visuals. + Integrate APIs and satellite imagery layers (e.g., Sentinel-2, Landsat, PlanetScope) into mapping tools. + Support the design of dashboards that provide precision agriculture insights at the field or farm scale. + Prototype and iterate on user interfaces for climate-smart agriculture applications. **Requirements** + Working towards or recently completed a PhD degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Data Science, or related fields + Basic understanding of satellite data concepts (e.g., multispectral bands, NDVI, crop monitoring). + Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team + Eagerness to learn, experiment, and contribute ideas in a collaborative environment Fujitsu is the largest IT company in Japan and among the largest in the world.
