The Trauma/Surgical Critical Care RN provides high-acuity bedside care to critically ill trauma and post-operative surgical patients. Nurses in this role collaborate closely with trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the critical care team to manage ventilators, titrate drips, and respond to rapid or code situations.
Specialty: Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Unit (ICU setting)
Environment: Fast-paced, high-acuity trauma and surgical population
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent trauma, surgical ICU, or comparable critical care experience
Certifications:
Tennessee RN License or Compact License (active and in hand)
BLS – American Heart Association
ACLS – American Heart Association
Pending Licenses: Not accepted
RTO / Holidays: Must be willing to work a share of holidays within contract period
No license or background issues accepted
Facility prioritizes candidates with strong critical care assessment and ventilator management skills
Documentation proficiency required; experience with trauma-level charting systems preferred
