The performance materials (PM) business unit has an opportunity at their manufacturing site at the Sparta, TN for Production Operator.

The Production Operator is responsible for all aspects of personal safety, product quality, and operating of the reactors. As well as, filling loading, and unloading systems and their auxiliary equipment such as blend tanks.  The Production Operator will manufacture quality finished goods and manage raw materials in a safe and efficient manner.  This includes running reactors, load/unload of tank trucks, railcars, totes, drums or pails as required.

This job takes place during night shift

During your time as a Production Operator, you will

• Participate and use all LEAN Manufacturing Tools in addition to operate forklift after appropriate instruction.
  
• Demonstrate ability to act as a team player and support production goals for the business.
  
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record and an advanced level of proficiency at operating all production equipment (in the support class) with minimal supervision.
  
• Learn, understand, and support improvements as they are implemented throughout the plant.
  
• Maintain a positive attitude and take the initiative to help others in order to foster teamwork.
  
• Complete paperwork with minimal amount of errors.

• Have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Are able to work during night shift
