Job Profile: Lead Orthodontic Assistant

The Opportunity This role has the unique opportunity to support the Heroes who actively serve the children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.
You Will Be Responsible For The Following - Assist in the development a training of Orthodontic Assistants and lead group trainings as necessary
- Establish clear expectations for teammates around desired patient experience and respond promptly to customers’ needs by greeting patients upon arrival and scheduling appointments, answering all patient inquiries in person and on the phone.
- Collaboration with others to provide and understand vision and inspiration to peers by displaying passion and optimism, remaining open to others’ ideas and being able to work in a fast-paced environment with different personalities.
- Ability to multi-task and complete ortho tasks correctly and in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
- Ensuring practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting etc.

- Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook).
You Will Be Required To Possess The Following - State Certification/License (where applicable)
- 2+ Years Orthodontic Assisting Experience
- Understands State and OSHA/HIPAA/CDC compliance requirements
- Excellent Verbal Communication Skills and basic computer skills
- Managing a clinical schedule involving 5-12 orthodontic employees. Assists in training, directing work assignments, appraisal reviews and performance management.
- Radiology Certification (where applicable)
- Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
- Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of orthodontics.

Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally 50.
