Inventory Specialist

Purple Lotus is actively in pursuit of an enthusiastic, achievement-oriented, and dependable Inventory Specialist to join our team. We are looking for someone to be a motivated individual, so our ideal candidate has an understanding of industry specific regulations in Santa Clara County, effective communication, while also being good at time management in order to meet business goals while consistently producing high quality results. The Inventory Specialist reports to the Inventory Manager and flawlessly executes the inventory processes and goals set in place by the Inventory Manager. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that shelves are free from expired or damaged items, maintaining an impeccable presentation.
• Execute precise labeling of products, barcode assignment, stickering, pricing, data entry, and storage in adherence to all cannabis state and city regulations.
• Participate in conducting comprehensive cycle counts across all product categories, document and report findings with precision to the Inventory Manager.
• Effectively communicate any discrepancies to the Inventory Manager, ensuring compliance-related concerns are promptly addressed.
• Respond to front of house calls in a timely manner regarding inventory inquiries and requests.
• Efficiently sort and store surplus products in designated storage areas, ensuring extracts and rosin are refrigerated immediately upon intake
• Handle invoicing and receiving tasks, maintaining 100% data entry accuracy.
• Promptly report any damages to cannabis product or company property
• Maintain meticulous records of daily movements, chain of custody forms, inventory scanning, and accurate counting procedures.
• Data entry into Google Sheets, Google Docs, Treez, Mondays, and Metrc systems, ensuring absolute precision.
• Maintain open availability Monday- Sunday, must be able to work morning shifts, night shifts, overnight shifts 
• Respond to Emails each scheduled shift
• Complete End-of-Shift (EOS) report
• Complete Inventory Specialist Daily Checklist
• Assist with inventory audits
• Daily check in Front of House for low-stock items and drawer labels
• Check Looker for expired or aging products and notify the Inventory Manager.
• Audit the Treez “Display” items prior to dropping a new display product on the sales floor
• Exemplify Purple Lotus's core values of Humility, Excellence, and Resilience in all interactions, serving as a positive brand ambassador.
• Ad hoc duties and projects as assigned by the Inventory Manager and Director of Operations

Requirements & Skills:

• Basic math skills
• Computer skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age 
• Must be eligible to work in the US
• Excellent time management and prioritization in daily tasks.
• Must be able to work multiple locations in San Jose

Attendance: 

Consistent with dependability and punctuality, expected to show up and ready to work every day.

Communication & Following Direction: Must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism and performance feedback from leaders and managers, to ensure quality standards and production goals.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform repetitive motions.
• Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• College preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in the cannabis industry is preferred but not required.
• Prior industry knowledge preferred but not required
