Housekeeper

Job Title: Housekeeper

Hours Worked: 40 Hours Per Week; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Qualifications: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

3. Must have the ability to follow directions

4. Shall have criminal record clearance prior to presence in facility

5. Shall have a health screening and TB test performed by physician

not more than six (6) months prior to employment. The TB test results

will be received within seven (7) days of employment; health screen

report will be received within thirty (30) days of employment.

6. Shall have appropriate training in first aid from persons qualified

by such agencies as the American Red Cross.

Duties:

1. Begin stocking cart with adequate amount of towels, rags, toilet paper and tissues. Check thorough daily cleaning schedule.
2. Take out garbage, wipe down surfaces and mop laundry room floor
3. Begin stripping thorough bed linens and making all resident beds. Stripping as needed.
4. Start daily cleaning on whichever floor assigned.
5. Continue daily cleaning, check laundry and begin thorough cleanings.
6. Vacuum common areas when leaving a hall of completed dailies and ensure hallways are stocked with extra toilet paper, tissues and bed pads.
7. Return cart to laundry room when all cleanings are completed. Finish laundry for the day and begin resident laundry return.
8. Make sure drawers and closets are organized according to facility policy.
