Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Highway Maintenance Worker Lead to fill a vacancy located at the Prosser maintenance shed. Under the direction and supervision of the Highway Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Superintendents, this position will lead entry and journey level Highway Maintenance Workers and perform highway, roadside, infrastructure, and right-of-way maintenance work along state routes and surrounding areas. This experienced technician will lead by example and display a strong ability to work under pressure in demanding conditions and maintain a safe and clean work environment. In this role, you must be dedicated to safety while coordinating and performing daily work activities which include heavy equipment operations, providing roadway maintenance for sub-sections of highways, and performing snow and ice removal functions. Our top candidate must have temperament to interact with the public daily and be able to maintain a positive working relationship with supervisor, coworkers, and customers. This position supports the mission of the WSDOT by providing safe summer and winter roads for the efficient movement of commerce and the traveling public.
