Field Service Technician/Engineer

We are seeking Field Service Technician/Engineer to support the Force Protection Systems (FPS) System of Systems to include but not limited to, IBD-K, NIIS, ECP, and BETSS-C

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, training, mechanical, electronics, and IT networking related sustainment.
  • Execute installs, de-installs, testing systems and components, and perform preventive maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems.
  • Detect, isolate, and correct faults in hardware systems and individual components.
  • Conduct routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards.
  • Carry out sustainment and PMCS maintenance on towers and payloads.
  • Perform site surveys to determine the type and placement of systems.
  • Isolate and correct software-related issues.
  • Update databases and inform leads of job status and any issues encountered, generate and produce data and reports.
  • Track and update work orders, including replacement parts component serial numbers removed and replaced.
  • Utilize COLTS (or similar systems like RCLS) and operate within the GCSS-A environment is strongly desired.

Required Qualifications:

  • AA/AS with 2-5 years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (HS + 6 years), we have various levels were are considering from Junior to Senior level.
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • If being considered  for a BETSS-C FSR you are required training and certifications related to BETSS-C Towers (Current BETTS-C Certificate). If not in possession, training will be required with proficiency requirements (60% on pre-test; 80% on final test).
  • Current U.S. passport (minimum 2 years validity and 4 blank pages), valid driver’s license, and required medical deployment certification through CRC.
  • Willingness to support an 84-hour extended work week or work week assigned to PDY or TDY based on mission requirements, including travel within SWA.
  • Capability to meet standards of fitness for deployment to the SWA of Operations.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, and endure seasonal temperatures in an austere environment.
  • Strong background in IT networks and network security is preferred.
  • Import/Export (ITAR/EXIM) compliance experience.
  • Experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.

Physical Requirements:

  • Bending, carrying, climbing, defining color, depth perception, field of vision, hearing high noise levels, medium work – normal requirements to lift 50 lbs., reaching, requires personal protective equipment, speaking, standing, work area subject to vibration, working both inside and outside, working with computers/CRTs.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, carrying, climbing, and operating in seasonal hot or cold temperatures.

Additional Information:

  • Personnel will be based out SWA where your work week will depend on your location (Up to an 84-hour work week (12 hours per day, 7 days per week) and expected to travel within SWA as required by the mission.
  • Must successfully complete CRC and obtain the required PPE equipment for SWA.
