Electronics Engineer – Product Development

About the Job:

Minit Charger Access Control Group develop and connected charging solutions and telematics. We invented fast charging when the concept was seen as radical. Fast forward 20 years, we are still a trendsetter in charging innovation and make our customers futureproof to the extent possible.


To help accelerate our growth are seeking a passionate ELECTRONICS ENGINEER who loves to improvise existing products and assist in developing new solutions. You will collaborate with our distributed teams to develop and launch solutions.

• Support development of electronics and electro-mechanical systems with cloud connectivity
• Assist development team in critical component selection, product packaging, harness design and installation guidelines.
• Create & perform test plans, document and analyze results.
• Ensure applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. UL, CE, etc.) are met. 
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and manufacturing package.
• Work with the firmware and software teams to ensure product specifications are adhered to. 
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to develop optimal system solutions for new products 
• Contribute to continuous improvements of existing products & systems. 

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years experience in assisting battery chargers and embedded system development 
• Experience with writing test plans, performing fault-finding, creating test jigs, generating reports, etc. 
• Experience with a variety of test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers, etc. 
• Strong knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components, DFM analysis, enclosure design process and compete product assembly
• Basic knowledge in embedded firmware and C programming. 
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electronics/electromechanical systems to component level 
• Willing and able to get “hands dirty” building prototypes, performing wire and cable assembly and routing, basic mechanical assembly, etc. 
• A flexible team player with a strong sense of ownership, coupled with technical experience and 'out-of-the-box' creativity.
• Identify new vendors when required to ensure they can support us in expediting product launch to market
• Enjoys a highly collaborative cross-functional environment.
