Electrical Estimator

Location: Odessa, TX

Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year plus benefits

Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator responsible for determining the electrical cost of projects, interpreting blueprints and scopes of work, and coordinating with construction managers to estimate each electrical element. Candidates should have extensive knowledge of electrical codes and distribution systems. A valid electrician license is preferred. Strong time management and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Determining the electrical needs of the project.

Drawing the outline and blueprints for the said electrical system.

Placing the utility, workstation, and other fixtures as per the specifications.

Understanding and interpreting the blueprints.

Reviewing the plan to estimate the length of electrical wire.

Identifying the cost and time constraints.

Knowing the supply cost for each individual element.

Determining the labor requirements for completing the project.

Working in coordination with Contractors and other team members.

Maintaining electrical cost database.

Performing calculations of various profitability solutions.

Negotiating with the suppliers and vendors.

Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors.

Identifying the risk involved in the project.

Explaining the cost of wastage materials.

Completing the project bids as per the guidelines.

Adhering to all the electrical rules and regulations.

Requirements

Working experience as an Electrical Estimator , Electrical Engineer , or a similar role in Construction industry.

A professional certificate in electrical training such as Association for the Advancement of Professional Cost Engineering International (AACE) .

Experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.

Excellent analytics skills.

Ability to solve complex problems in an efficient manner.

Sound organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.

Ability to check multiple data sources.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Work Environment & Location & Schedule

This is a high-growth, fast-paced mid-size organization. The office is located in Odessa.

Work Location : In person

Schedule

Monday to Friday and some weekends (as needed)

10 hour shift

Job Type: Full-time

Salary $85,000 to $100,000 based on experience
