Job Description

GAC Enterprises, LLC, a leading telecommunication construction company based in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Horizontal Directional Driller to join our team. As a Horizontal Directional Driller , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used for underground utility installation and drilling horizontal bores.

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 
• Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects
• Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines
• Experience working on the right of ways in all weather conditions
• Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervision

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating directional drilling equipment and locating utilities
• Strong knowledge of underground construction practices and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
• Knowledge of utility locating equipment and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
