Overview:   As a Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for business decision-making and operations within our organization. You will work closely with various teams to define data quality standards, monitor data quality metrics, and implement processes to improve data integrity. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of data quality principles and practices.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  1. Data Quality Assessment:  

    • Develop and execute data quality assessment strategies to identify and analyze data discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies.  

    • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with data owners to resolve data quality issues.  

  2. Data Quality Monitoring:  

    • Establish and maintain data quality monitoring processes and frameworks.  

    • Monitor data quality metrics and KPIs to proactively identify trends and issues.  

  3. Data Quality Standards and Documentation:  

    • Define and document data quality standards, policies, and procedures.  

    • Ensure adherence to data quality guidelines across different data sources and systems.  

  4. Data Profiling and Cleansing:  

    • Conduct data profiling to understand data characteristics, patterns, and anomalies.  

    • Implement data cleansing and enrichment processes to improve data accuracy and completeness.  

  5. Collaboration and Communication:  

    • Collaborate with data stewards, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and priorities.  

    • Communicate data quality findings, issues, and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.  

  6. Continuous Improvement:  

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data quality management practices.  

    • Implement best practices and standards to ensure continuous improvement of data quality processes.  

     

Skills and Qualifications:  

  • Proven 5+ years of experience as a Data Quality Analyst or in a similar role.  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.  

  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying.  

  • Experience with data quality tools and methodologies.  

  • Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).  

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP) are a plus.
