Project Title: New River Water Treatment Plant Expansion
Location: Austinville, Virginia
Hours: Part-Time Position: Minimum 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling
Pay Range: $35/hr+ based on prior experience
Company Overview: Haren Construction Company, Inc. specializes in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and commercial and industrial types of construction.
The operator will work on multiple tasks each day and have various skill sets as necessary. The operator will receive assignments from the supervisor and must be able to perform tasks independently without close supervision.
Essential Responsibilities: The operator position will include, but is not limited to the following duties:
- Be able to understand and work within company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate a 55-ton Rough Terrain Hydraulic Crane and other heavy equipment to move and lift various objects.
- Assist team with miscellaneous site tasks such as pipework, framing, finish work, formwork, concrete work, and cleanup.
- Frequently use various hand and power tools used in commercial construction such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activities, for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull. May be required to work at elevated heights.
Required Qualifications: - RT Hydraulic Crane Experience Required
- NCCCO Certification Required
