Legal Assistant for Boutique Law Firm in Irvine, seeks a Japanese speaking associate attorney

About Us:
We are a boutique law firm offering a collaborative and multicultural environment. Our practice spans corporate, personal injury, litigation, trust & estate, and cross-border matters involving Japanese and American clients.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese-English) licensed attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills in both languages and experience or interest in handling U.S.-Japan legal matters. This position offers significant client interaction, diverse casework, and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and representation in areas such as corporate law, personal injury, trust & estate or litigation
Draft and review contracts and legal documents in both Japanese and English
Communicate with Japanese clients and legal counterparts
Conduct legal research and analysis for cross-border matters
Support senior attorneys with case management and client development

Qualifications:

Licensed to practice law in California or eligible for bar admission
Native or near-native proficiency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
1-3 years of legal experience preferred, but recent J.D. graduates with relevant background may be considered
Understanding of Japanese business culture and legal concepts is a strong plus
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
