Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Johnston, Iowa is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The staff is dedicated to fostering a positive environment and prioritizing personal growth. As a key member of our team, the candidate will report to and assist the Golf Course Superintendent in professionally maintaining the golf course and its related areas, while minimizing member inconvenience. Contributing to the grounds staff in an essential role, the candidate will participate in the conception, creation, and execution of routine club-improvement projects. Characteristics such as a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are integral to success in this position. The candidate should have, or be ready to obtain, an Iowa Pesticide Applicator License within 60 days of employment.
Requirements
• A two or four-year degree in turf management is preferred.
• Prior experience in golf course maintenance is beneficial. Consistent opportunities are provided to develop skills.
Compensation
$19 to $21 per hour.
